Though I should say you have more skill in colouring... I mean, how do you do it!? xD I'm not so good with colouring because I'm so impatient I always want things done quickly!
But I like the borders! Another thing I'm not good at... organic shapes. :\
that's true somehow I'm better at coloring, the only problems is as long as the basic sketch isn't good enough the coloring won't save it my coloring method is very simple, as you can see I used stronger light on the faces to catch the focus, I use bright low saturated colors for backlight, that's why it seems shiny (but I still can't handle it perfectly) and I never use the same shade for shadows because it would be unnatural, the reason is you can't notice it at first sight because colors affect each other strongly, so it's all about color theory I used outer glow in photoshop as a lighting effect for the lamp and stars and multiply layer with light purple for making organic shadows on the gradient colored clothes
I will probably never how I could apply your technique to my colouring! I never took art classes and I randomly choose what brush to use and just change colouring technique depending on that.
better to don't use mine since it has lot of problems, if you want to learn from somebody, choose a professional artist, because you will learn the mistakes also, or do rather coloring studies, I never took art classes neither, I'm learning this digital stuff on the internet I use mostly the basic brushes
Also, it is the same motives with your Mineral Girls?
