This is so awesome, and your colours fit elsevilla's style so well! I think this has an almost unusually good balance between saturations of the colours; I've felt quite weirded out by your colours before, especially reds, in the sense where the hightlight colours have felt a little too saturated in comparison to the colours in shade. IDK if you understand what I mean, I'll just keep my hopes up that you do XD
I wonder though, what inspires your colour choices? And how do you pick them? I wish there was a recording or a tutorial for how you coloured this piece ;A;
haha yeah I know what you mean, I used to paint every dark and shadow area with the similar grayish colors, which gives an interesting style but it can't be used everywhere. I got lots of coloring tips recently so I try to apply what I learned, I have a critique for this one too so it's possible I will change it a little bit when I find some time. actually I saved the whole process because somebody asked for it, I will submit that as well if you want for this I clearly wanted something similar to elsevilla's style, and he goes crazy with the colors
Well, as long as you're happy with what you accomplish I guess it does not really matter what choices you make, colourwise so to say. I was just happy to see a greater dynamic feel in your choice of colours for shadows, they've been rather grayish before, but I am sure you know better than I what you're doing! XD I think this picture is breathtaking as it is, and I absolutely adore how well elsevilla's and your style work out together!
Thank you so much for putting up the WIP for this piece, this certainly was exactly what I needed. Colours are so amazing, but I don't understand them at all, so looking at processes of people's pieces where the artist knows what they are doing are perfect!

I tried lots of different styles recently so I'm beginning to get confused, I have no idea anymore which one is good
